See a summary HERE ILLINOIS CONCEALED CARRY UPDATE Today, the IL House voted against the 'may issue' concealed carry bill. This is good news. May issue would allow some bureaucrat to decide if you 'may' have a permit. Tomorrow (Thursday) they are expected to vote on the 'Shall Issue' bill--HB 0997. THIS is the bill we want to pass! Please see the ISRA alert and call your state rep right away. Let them know that you support HB 0997. It is a concealed carry bill which contains common-sense provisions for training and permitting, fair fees and is not overly burdensome on law-abiding gun owners.
