***************************UPDATE************************** Due to the pressure being put on State Senators, Cullerton has not been able to get enough votes to push through his gun and ammunition bans through the IL Senate so he has pulled the bills for now (along with the gay marriage bill). Rumor has it he is only 4 or 5 votes shy of passage, so we must keep calling and writing! Thank you for the calls you have already made, but please keep it up! Banning guns increases violence, a coalition of dozens of gun organizations have said in an open letter to Congress opposing the myriad plans being assembled right now to restrict firearms, their ownership and access.
