SVTP update--May Meeting and other events

I am sorry to say, but our May SVTP meeting has been cancelled.  I have been waiting to hear back from a few possible guest speakers, but time has run out to pull it together.
We will hold our June meeting at the normal time.

We are still working on a date for our first leadership council meeting....details will be sent out as soon as they are finalized.

Thanks for your continued support!  Enjoy the upcoming weekend!

Message from Mike Martin of the Quad City Tea Party, Regarding the Obamacare seminar this Saturday

Hello everyone:

This Saturday we have a rare opportunity in the QC area to hear experts speak about how ObamaCare has already begun, and what is to come in 2014. But, we need your help -- the local media doesn't want to spread the word about this seminar (they don't seem to return calls) -- so we need you to post on facebook, twitter, etc! This issue affects us all -- young, old, democrat, republican -- it doesn't matter. It is your chance to get informed. This is the REAL information. Please also forward this email onto all your family, friends, doctors, insurance brokers, and fellow patriots even if you cannot attend. Seminar information is below ~

Speakers include:

Congressman Bobby Schilling
Illinois State Representative Rich Morthland

C. Steven Tucker, insurance broker (Contributor to FOX NEWS)
Dr. Brian Anseeuw (local neurologist)

There will also be plenty of time for Q & A, so bring your personal questions. Encourage anyone with a small business that this is crucial information. Seminar is this Saturday, April 21st, 9:30 am - noon. Suggested donation $ 5.00 for the Quad City TEA. Will be at the East Moline Christian School, 900 - 46th Avenue, East Moline, IL.

We appreciate any help you can give us by spreading the word! See you Saturday.

Huge Tea Party Rally in Indianapolis on May 5th

On May 8th, Indiana voters will cast their ballots in a historic Republican Senate primary that has gained national media attention as a showdown between two very different candidates: conservative grassroots challenger Richard Mourdock and six-term establishment incumbent Sen. Dick Lugar.

Indiana's Republican primary is a fight for the soul of the Republican Party we haven't seen since Marco Rubio routed Charlie Crist in Florida and Rand Paul defeated Trey Grayson in Kentucky in 2010.

I will provide more details as they are released

On a personal note, we have several key SVTP members or their close family who are experiencing serious health issuesSome of them have been fighting them for quite some time and some of them have just recently entered the battleIn the last 3 years, I have come to care deeply for these folks and the SVTP feels like my extended family!  I would ask that each of you take a moment and say a prayer for their speedy recovery.
