Agenda 21 is not a right-wing conspiracy, it is a very real threat to US Sovereignty and private property rights that is uniting those on both sides of the political spectrum.  Agenda 21: How it Will Affect YOU Rosa Koire, founder of DemocratsAgainstAgenda21.com, is educating groups on the dangers of this international threat.  She has published the book, Behind the Green Mask, a very informative book on this subject.  Her speech at the Freedom on Fire Conference in 2012 explains Agenda 21 better than any other source I have found.  I hope you will take the time to watch this video:  Rosa Koire Explains Agenda 21 See the list of organizations with ties to Agenda 21 and its implementation (right-hand column) Sustainable development, smart growth, wildlands projects, resilient cities, green jobs, alternative energy, smart grid/meters, comprehensive planning, vibrant, walkable, bikeable, environmentally friendly...these are just a few of the 'feel good' terms associated with Agenda 21. These ideas were first introduced in a report, Our Common Future, produced by the UN in 1987 which was written and developed by Gro Harlem Bruntland (vice-president of the united socialist party) and  were offered as official UN policy at the  Earth Summit in 1992.  178 nations adopted Agenda 21 during a signing ceremony at the Earth Summit, including President George H.W. Bush.  President Clinton signed Executive Order #12852, creating the 'President's Council on Sustainable Development' which directed all federal government agencies to work with state and local governments to 'reinvent' themselves, using the guidelines outlined in Agenda 21. Agenda 21 uses environmentalism to achieve reduced consumption, social equity, and the preservation and restoration of biodiversity.  That sounds noble, until you consider that in order to achieve those goals, individual property rights must be eliminated.  "Individual rights will have to take a back seat to the collective."             --Harvey Ruvin (Vice Chairman, ICLEI and the Wildlands Project) "...the native ecosystem and the collective needs of non-human species must take precedence over the needs and desires of humans."     --Dr. Reed Noss (Wildlands Project Board of Directors) "...it boils down to the question of whether private property...or natural ecosystems are more valuable. Although most people in this country ...respect the concept of private property, life - the biological diversity of this planet - is far more important."                             --Dave Forman ('Father' of the Wildlands Project) Agenda 21 seeks to consolidate people within urban communities and re-wild vast stretches of land in every nation across the globe.  These 'core wilderness areas' would be off-limits to people and surrounded by buffer zones with limited human access.  Supporters insist that all societal decisions be based on environmental impact, focusing specifically on three components; global land use, global education, and global population control/reduction. By using the environment as a uniting issue and convincing people that the planet is in danger and we must act to 'save' it, the UN and other organizations are trying to fundamentally change the world.  They would like to see us living the way we did over 100 years ago...without the modern conveniences we have now such as personal vehicles, air conditioning, modern appliances, etc.--some of them would even like to go so far as to tear up roads, tear down dams, reduce human populations and force us out of rural areas and into crowded urban communities. We should be responsible stewards of the natural resources we have, but it is another thing entirely to put plants and animals higher in priority than human lives!  I urge you to educate yourself on the issues presented by Agenda 21, watch for it in your local communities, and get involved to protect private property rights and our current standard of living. BAD Gun Bill on the Move in Springfield Today!

View this email in your browser DEADLINE FAST APPROACHING IN SPRINGFIELD The June 9th deadline to enact concealed carry legislation is rapidly approaching.  In a perfect world, no bill would mean Constitutional Carry.  Unfortunately, we live in Illinois which is FAR from perfect!  If no bill is passed, it will be left up to every county and municipality in the state to decide their own carry rules--which would result in a patchwork of 200+ different gun regulation zones.  That would make it nearly impossible for gun owners to travel outside of their homes without violating the law.  It would be almost impossible to go anywhere and know exactly where the rules change and to what. There are two main bills under consideration in Springfield right now:  The Phelps Compromise bill (SB2193) and the Chicago Fiasco pushed by Kwame Raoul.  SB2193 is far from perfect, but probably the most sensible bill that is possible in IL right now.  It includes higher fees and more training hours than Phelps' original bill (HB997), and has a LOT of prohibited places, but is not so bad that it will keep folks from exercising their 2nd amendment rights.  It also sets a standard set of rules for the entire state and includes sensible regulations for stowing your gun outside prohibited places.  Raoul's bill is a NIGHTMARE!  It allows may-issue carve-outs for Chicago and does not pre-empt home-rule regulations which would lead to the frightening patchwork of laws mentioned above! Please read the articles below, then take action TODAY.  Let your IL Senator know that the only acceptable compromise is SB2193.  Insist that they vote NO on HB187! We Remember...

View this email in your browser On this Memorial Day, we take a moment to say thank you to all who have sacrificed to keep us free.  Thank you for having the courage and the strength to stand in the face of adversity so that we may live in peace and safety.  You have fought to preserve the values of freedom and opportunity that this nation was built upon and to secure them for future generations.  That is a debt we can never repay... Thank You, Soldiers! Memorial Day Tribute Song If you know a veteran or active serviceman or woman, please call them today and thank them for their service.  Pray for their protection and for comfort for their families.  Memorial Prayer Gracious God, on this Memorial Day weekend, we remember and give thanks for those who have given their lives in the service of our country. When the need was greatest, they stepped forward and did their duty to defend the freedoms that we  enjoy, and to win the same for others. O God, you yourself have taught us that no love is greater than that which gives itself for another. These honored dead gave the most precious gift they had,life itself, for loved ones and neighbors, for comrades and country – and for us. Help us to honor their memory by caring for the family members  they have left behind, by ensuring that their wounded comrades are properly cared for, by being watchful caretakers of the freedoms  for which they gave their lives, and by demanding that no other young men and women follow them to a soldier's grave unless the reason is worthy and the cause is just. Father God, help us to remember that freedom is not free. There are times when its cost is, indeed, dear. Never let us forget those who paid so terrible a price to ensure that freedom would be our legacy. GOP Senator PRESERVES Loophole in Immigration Bill that gives Illegals Immediate Welfare Access! This bill, SB 2193, sponsored by Representative Brandon Phelps, is not a perfect bill but it does have several good points, for example:                 Shall issue                 Statewide pre-emption of all gun laws                 Commercially available training                 Vehicles will be a safe haven However, the bill does call for:                   16 hours of training, although some                   previous training will count toward                   those hours                 $150.00 license fee, for five years                 Carry on mass transportation                  prohibited  This bill, if passed, will bring Right to Carry to Illinois, but due to the restrictions in the bill we (ISRA) are neutral on the bill. While many people have been involved in this effort, Representative Brandon Phelps has demonstrated superior leadership and should be commended for his resolve.
