If you are looking for a memorable family experience this 4th of July, be sure to check out the 11th Annual   Reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Chaplin Creek Historic Site in Franklin Grove Wednesday, July 4th at 9am     Bring a lawn chair or blanket and experience the Declaration of Independence as never before!   The historic document will be presented by local folks dressed in period costumes on the grounds of the Chaplin Creek Historic Village.  This year's presentation will include Kay Ferris, Li Arellano, Kiran Sood, Herb O'Rourke and Tom Wadsworth as Thomas Jefferson!  This is a great way to start your holiday festivities!  While you are there, check out the historic buildings of Chaplin Creek.  This event is free to the public!
