** Breaking News--URGENT ** HHS has sent IL a $32 million bribe to implement Obamacare
Health Care Exchanges 2 years early! We need YOUR HELP! We have spent the last three years fighting against Obamacare. We called our Congressmen, sent them emails, protested outside their offices, attended their meetings, held tea party rallies, townhall meetings and even voted many of them out of office. Unfortunately, there are some Illinois Republicans who did not get the message. Tom Cross and the House Republicans are cutting a deal with Chicago Democrats to implement Obamacare two years early here in Illinois. This is part of their plan to "reform" Medicaid. We failed to pay $9 million in bills owed to medicaid providers last year! Adding folks to the medicaid rolls in the guise of these exchanges will only hasten our financial meltdown!
We know you receive a lot of emails. We know you receive a lot of calls to action. We can say with no exaggeration that this is the most important call to action we will have all year long. This is the most important issue we will face in Illinois this year. We need your help. We must stop implementation of Obamacare in Illinois.
Our plan to get the message out
We are sending out a press release, blog posts and email blasts ready Monday morning. We will also release video of Tom Cross, in his own words, rejecting Obamacare and making the case that implementing it would be damaging to our state. In addition to the press release to our Illinois contacts, we will be contacting media outlets and bloggers across the country to get national exposure to this issue. Illinois trying to implement Obamacare before the Supreme Court has ruled on its constitutionality should be a national story.

You should also: Holding them accountable
We need to hold our elected officials accountable on this issue. There is no excuse for voting to begin on Obamacare in Illinois 2 years early. NONE. We must make our position on this issue as loud and clear as possible. We hope that no Republican will vote for Obamacare in Illinois, just as no Republican voted for it at the Federal level. But if any Republican votes for Obamacare, we will recruit and circulate petitions for Independent candidates to run against anyone that does. It doesn't matter who they are, it doesn't matter how conservative they claim to be. We can not accept a vote for Obamacare and must hold them accountable. We have until June 25 to get them on the ballot.

 Wisconsin Recall Update
Governor Scott Walker was elected by Wisconsin voters to clean up state government and fix their financial problems.
He did so by addressing public employee pensions and has become the target of unions across the nation because of his success. He did what he promised to do and it worked beautifully! Wisconsin has gone from a $4 billion deficit to a $300 million surplus. Schools have not suffered as a result of his reforms as unions had alledged and now the unions want to make an example of him!
On Tuesday, Wisconsin residents headed to the polls to determine who will run against Walker in the June Recall Election. Interesting fact: even though he had no primary opponent on the ballot, Walker received more votes than BOTH democrat challengers combined! It is critical that Governor Walker retain the Governership or public sector unions will use his defeat as an example of what they will do to any Governor with the nerve to stand up to them!
| | Pension Reform in IL Proposed pension reforms are attracting much attention in IL. Governor Walker created a firestorm when he bravely tackled the issue in Wisconsin. Do IL legislators have the backbone needed to take on the public sector unions in IL. One thing is certain...we are broke...something Must change! Whiteside County Planning and Zoning Hearing Wednesday, May 30th is likely to be the final hearing on the special use permit applications submitted by Mainstream for the turbines proposed for Whiteside County. The meeting will begin at 7pm at the Rock Falls Community Building (between the police station and library). It is very important that the special use permit require Mainstream to address liabilities that will be created by allowing wind energy generation in Whiteside County. | |
