October Meeting

6:30pm
Tuesday, October 25th

312 E. 4th Street, Sterling

This is a large, brown-brick building next door to the Sterling Post Office.  It was formerly King's Den and more recently the Abiding Word Christian Center.

We will be joined by Bob Sondgeroth who will give us an update on the status of Quinn's line item veto which eliminated pay for all Regional Superintendents of Schools.
We will also discuss the Occupy Wallstreet protests.  Plus, Liandro Arrellano, candidate for the 90th State Representative district  and James Ruddell, candidate for Whiteside County Board will be on hand to speak with you at the meeting.

Next month we hope to have a panel with all the candidates running for
Jerry Mitchell's open seat in the new 90th Representative district.

We hope to see you there!

Action Alert

To All Tea Party and 912 groups locally and nationally:

We could use your help on this.  First the City of Crystal River, FL banned multiple displays of the American Flag and now the Florida Board Of Education is banning free distribution of the U. S. Constitution to students because they do not like the suggested reading materials listed by the National Center for Constitutional Studies.

You can send e-mails to the Chronicle and to the Board of Education supporting our position if you agree.

We must stand together on this issue.  It is important that we defend and protect the U.S. Constitution, and this can only be accomplished by teaching our American History factually, and not based on the revisionists' theories, and politically correct ways.

Please be respectful.  Thank you. Edna and Maureen   Chronicle:  Soundoff:  (352) 563-0579

October Meeting
The details for our October meeting are still up in the air...we will update you when we have them sorted out!   The meeting will be on October 25 at 6:30pm as already scheduled, but the location and topic are yet to be determined.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our September Meeting
We had a great turnout for our September meeting!  Over 75 folks showed up to meet with Congressman Schilling, even though the paper mistakenly printed the meeting location!  Lots of new faces as well!  Congressman Schilling shared some stories with us from his time in Washington and answered questions from the audience.

We also heard from Bill Albracht, candidate for Illinois' 36th Senatorial District, Jon Hinton, candidate for Whiteside County Board (District 3), Kurt Glazier, candidate for Whiteside County Board (District 1), and a representative for Liandro Arrellano, SVTP member and candidate for Illinois' 90th Representative District.

Mr. Albracht fought bravely in the Vietnam War, served the past 7 Presidents as a member of the Secret Service and worked as head of corporate security for Ford Motor Company.  We hope to have him join us again so that we can discuss state issues with him.  He is a proven leader and a man with the courage to stand strong against any opposition.
