Why are so many branches of the US Govt buying hundreds of thousands of rounds of hollow point ammunition?
Obama has issued ANOTHER executive order. This one would allow him to take control of...pretty much everything in the event of an "emergency".
Once again, the Whiteside County Board has passed up an opportunity to protect rural residents and Whiteside County taxpayers in general! Last week they approved the special use permit request for the Mainstream Renewables Green River Wind Farm. They voted 19 to 6 to approve the permits with only two amendments and NO DISCUSSION on the many issues and liabilities that go along with welcoming wind energy generation. They voted to place millions of dollars in liability onto the shoulders of Whiteside County Residents in a chaotic mess of a meeting. They ignored all of the concerns raised in the Zoning Hearings and rushed the vote, even after Bill Milby requested that the issue be tabled until next month so that members could consider and investigate Ruth Stanley's suggested amendment. Tony Arduini took a voice vote on the motion to table and (even though he can't HEAR) determined that the nays won the vote! Funny, he could hear that, but did NOT hear two different board members request a roll call vote on the motion! Unbelievable!
Six members voted against the permits because the matter was not handled properly. The only responsible members of the Whiteside County Board are: Jim Duffy, Kurt Glazier, Sue Britt, Paul Cunnif, Gene Jacoby and Doug Wetzell (please tell them thank you for trying to protect you).
Please call every member of the board in your district and voice your discontent with the irresponsible way they are conducting county business! Whiteside County Board Members Madison Rising's

Help True the Vote clean up voter registration rolls. Voter fraud is more prevalent than most people know. Much of it can be eliminated simply by cleaning up problematic voter registrations. When people move, their name often remains on the rolls for the address they have left. This means that they could be registered to vote in more than one precinct or state. You can fix that!
Or, sign up to be an election judge or a poll watcher...all these things can make a huge difference in November!
But hurry, time is running out!
