Loveland Community Building, Dixon July Meeting Summary
Here is what you missed if you were not able to join us last week:
For those of you who weren't able to attend, we had a very informative meeting on July 26th! Heidi Holan from ParentalRights.org joined us to share her knowledge of the United Nation's Conference on the Rights of the Child...Scary Stuff!!!! This treaty has already been signed into law in 190+ countries! Because of this, it is already being used by some in our judicial system as "customary international law"!
If this treaty were ratified in the US, it would supercede all state Constitutions. It gives a panel of 18 people from foreign countries (with belief systems far different from ours) the right to decide what is 'in the best interest of the child' for every child in this country! They would be able to decide how YOU would parent your children! They could go so far as to decide what religion, if any, your child will practice, what you must feed them, what they will learn in school, etc. It would also guarantee the 'right of the child to be heard' which would basically mean that any child old enough to clearly state their opinion could actually take their parents to court everytime they disagreed with a decision made by the parent! This would be an effective way to destroy the family structure throughout the world and control the hearts and minds of future generations! Please go to ParentalRights.org and sign their petition in support of a Constitutional Amendment to define and protect parental rights in this country as a fundamental right! Our Just the Facts Committee has been working hard to initiate their new project. They have big plans and intend to create a one-stop shop for well-researched, unbiased facts on a wide variety of subjects. They shared a brainstorming outline of their plans at the meeting last night and are looking for feedback. They provided a handout with many topics and would appreciate the input of all of our members on narrowing down the topics that are most important to us overall.
