Don't Miss our February Meeting

6:30pm on Tuesday, February 28th
at the Loveland Community Building in Dixon

February Topic:  Is Your Family Prepared?
What would you do if disaster struck and took out our power grid or disrupted our supply chain?  Could your family survive?  The average grocery store receives 14 deliveries every day.  How long would it take the shelves to be bare if something kept those deliveries from getting through?  We have become such a "give-me-now" society that most of us have no idea how to survive without our intricate supply chain and the comforts afforded by technology!

Sean & Kelly McKee will join us to share their knowledge on emergency preparedness and food storage.  Ever wonder what those "emergency" freeze-dried foods taste like?  They will have some selections available for you to taste!
We hope you will join us!

If you haven't already done so,  please RSVP  so that we can make sure there are plenty of samples for everyone.
If you forget to RSVP, don't let that stop you from joining us!

Thank you to Everyone who helped make
the Voter Information Fair a Success!
Thank you to the candidates, our members who kept things moving, and all the voters who came out to meet the candidates face-to-face and educate themselves!  If you weren't there, I hope you will still be sure to learn about these candidates and VOTE IN THE PRIMARY ON MARCH 20TH!  This may very well be the most important election of your lifetime!  You owe it to your children and grandchildren to step up and fulfill your responsibility of citizenship!

47 Candidates joined us at Sauk today!  That is almost DOUBLE the number willing to participate in our first few events!  We hope YOU will join us for the next Fair before the General Election.  We plan to make some changes to the format and could use your help to gather information from the candidates so that we can provide very useful information to Sauk Valley Voters.

We had voters from across the political spectrum participate in our straw poll.
Here are the results:

IS YOUR FAMILY PREPARED IF DISASTER STRIKES?

DIXON IL, February 14, 2012 – Join us at the Loveland Community Building on Tuesday, February 28th to learn how your family can be prepared for any emergency.  Sean and Kelly McKee will join us and share their knowledge on emergency food storage, emergency preparedness and give us the opportunity to taste Thrive dehydrated foods.

In our highly complex and technologically dependent society, there are a lot of things that could disrupt our daily lives.  We are a "give me now" society and, in most cases, have no idea what to do if disaster strikes or how to sustain ourselves if we can't just run down to the store to pick up what we want for dinner.

In the event of a natural disaster, how long would it take grocery store shelves to be bare?  The average grocery store receives 14 deliveries EVERY DAY in order to meet average customer demand!  If the supply chain were interrupted, how long could your family survive on what you have in your home right now?  Could you keep warm?  How well could you treat injuries?  Is your family prepared?

Join us and learn how you can make sure that your family is prepared for anything!

For information on the Sauk Valley Tea Party or more details on Tuesday's meeting, please visit our website, SAUKVALLEYTEAPARTY.COM or email us at SaukValleyTeaParty@live.com.

Sauk Valley Tea Party – established in 2009, is a local, grassroots organization committed to the founding principles of this great nation.  Our mission is to engage local citizens in our electoral process and advocate for the election of those who will protect our God-given rights and individual liberties while promoting personal responsibility, sound fiscal policies, constitutionally limited government and free market principles. We may be contacted at SaukValleyTeaParty.com

30,000 Drones Monitoring the U.S. by 2020?
Imagine a robot hovering overhead as you go about your day, driving to and from work, heading to the grocery store, or stopping by a friend’s house. The robot records your every movement with a surveillance camera and streams the information to a government command center. If you make a wrong move, or even appear to be doing something suspicious, the police will respond quickly and you’ll soon be under arrest. Even if you don’t do anything suspicious, the information of your whereabouts, including what stores and offices you visit, what political rallies you attend, and what people you meet will be recorded, saved and easily accessed at a later date. It is a frightening thought, but you don’t have to imagine this scenario. We are only a few years away from the realization of this total surveillance society.  READ MORE
